Supporting our Lacey-Olympia-Tumwater community is important to us here at PIONEER.  We are a local, small business and many of our team members grew up here or are currently raising families here.  We feel priveldged to work in an extraordinary community that has so much to offer.    

School Sponsorships

PIONEER sponsors many local schools in the area by purchasing advertising, sponsoring teams, and volunteering time and services.

Science Fairs

Another tradition at PIONEER is encouraging budding scientists by sponsoring the science fairs at Michael. T. Simmons and Pioneer Elementary schools.  PIONEER team members spend an afternoon and evening visiting with the students about, and "judging" (every child receives a blue ribbon), their science fair projects.  It's important to PIONEER to show kids that science is fun.  Our senior computer engineer, Tony Shimoji, gets to work the right side of his brain by writing and directing a science fair skit that stars PIONEER team members.

The Salvation Army Adopt-a-Family

For the past six years, the PIONEER team has participated in the Salvation Army's Christmas Adopt-a-Family program.  PIONEER sponsors a large family, and the PIONEER team members get to play Santa by purchasing toys, clothes, groceries, and other items requested by the family.  It has become a PIONEER tradition that we look forward to every holiday season.

STUDENT ORCHESTRAS OF GREATER OLYMPIA (SOGO)

PIONEER is a proud sponsor of  SOGO.  SOGO is a fully integrated music program with over 150 young musicians from over 20 different schools in the South Sound area.  PIONEER is honored to support such an amazing music program.

 

2011 SALVATION ARMY'S ADOPT-A-FAMILY  

PIONEER is excited to once again sponsor a local family in need this holiday season through the Salvation Army's Christmas Adopt-a-Family program.  This is a tradition that PIONEER Team Members have thoroughly embraced and look forward to each year.
